Our Hip Hop Dance Groups
On Friday we had our normal hip hop but this week we had to put our dance into a song. It was really difficult because we couldn't decide weather to dance fast or slow. After listening to the beat we started putting our choreography into it. After fifteen minutes of practicing we had to stop and show the whole class our routine. At the last minute we put an extra move into the dance.

Special Maths and Social Studies for Year 8's
On Monday the 28th of May a school assembly was held in the multipurpose and there was a surprise. Before the surprise it was a usual assembly which was singing the national anthem.
Next, we had to listen to the prefect reminders. After that we saw our house point's. In the beginning of the term Whero was leading but now Kowhai is catching up.
Izabella received a Duffy award. Finally it was the surprise and it was that the year 8 students were going to be participating in a Maths and Social study with a special tutor.

Road Safety Week!
Last week was Road Safety Week. We had to make a group slide and write facts or rules about being safe on roads. We also had to give our group a name. We named our team the Safety Management group.
After finishing our slides I created a group survey for others to answer. Now we are writing some scripts for our up coming movie. I can't wait to start filming.

Yummy Burgers!
Today at Technicraft we made some delicious and healthy burgers.
The first step was to fry our eggs then we baked our bread at 180 Degrees Celsius. Once the eggs were fried we had to take out our bread and start filling in our burger. The layers were lettuce, tomato, onion, mayo, eggs and finally the cheese. Then we took photos and we all began to eat.

Spaghetti Bolognese
Today we made Spaghetti Bolognese. The ingredients that were required was pasta, meatballs, onions, garlic and the bolognese sauce.
Firstly we boiled the pasta in hot water then we started making our spaghetti sauce with onions and garlic. Then we put our meatballs and our pasta into the pan then it was ready to serve. Before eating we took pictures of our creations then we ate it. It was so cheesy and delicious.

Kiwi Sport Hip Hop!π
Today we went to our hip hop class in the Multi Purpose room. Jess, our coach, demonstrated some warm ups and we had to space out and copy her. After warming up she started the first set of her choreography. We danced to Up Town Funk by Bruno Mars. At first I was finding the dance difficult but after practicing it a few times I finally knew the dance.
My favourite part of hip hop was playing musical statue but there was a twist. Instead of walking we had to dance. I was trying not to move when the music stopped. Luckily we were allowed to blink and breathe. We were dancing to Finesse by Cardi B and Bruno Mars.
Sadly our session had to come to an end. We all had fun. We all left sweaty and tired. We couldn't wait for our next session.

The Beginning Of New Learning And A New Termπ€
On Monday 1st of May 2017 term 2 had just begun. I was so excited to be back at school because I couldn't wait to see my wonderful friends and learn new things during term 2. I have to admit the holidays was fun but now I'm back at school and back learning.
A few minutes later we started our Maths learning. We each organised ourselves into pairs like mature year 7 and 8 students. After we had completed our Maths it was time for lunch time monitors to go to their rooms. Lunch was the same as usual: pupils eating, monitors watching and teachers sometimes watching or gone to have their lunch in the staff room. Everyone went outside to play and enjoy their lunch. As soon as the bell rang everyone either went for a drink after sport or lined up outside their class or by the multipurpose.
When assembly finished we all thought that we would just go back to class, but there was a slight change of schedule due to our immunization top up. I was scared at first but as I was learning that injections help you avoid getting germs. I was happy in fact I wanted to get it done right away. Then the health nurse said that we had to get the of our parents' permission first. When I told my parents about it they were happy to sign it. When I had brought my permission slip to school I just couldn't wait to get my injection done.
